Limit the more detailed information regarding your work history to what is pertinent to the job you are applying for – short is sweet.

The most important information (from the potential employer’s point of view) must come very early on in your resume.

    When determining what is pertinent, it is always a good idea to have a classified ad or classified posting to use as a reference. The more keywords you have that match the job’s description, the more likely it is that you will be called in for an interview.
